Attentive social media followers will surely have already noticed that we're working on a topic together with CYCLE4WATER. Daniel Schade (Shado) and Jörg Schubert (Schorsch) convinced us, with their commitment and passion, to contribute a little to their amazing project. And since you should always do what you enjoy and what you're good at, we networked and created a hat.

First, some basic information about CYCLE4WATER: Schorsch & Shado are raising money for the Wellfair Foundation, which will be used to implement well construction projects in East Africa.

Let's quote the C4W website: "The foundation supports the construction of wells and sanitation facilities for schools and communities in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. Access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene—WASH for short—is the foundation for children to attend school regularly. Through education, children are given the sustainable opportunity to lead self-determined lives—thus creating real prospects for the future."

Since the goal is to put 100% of donations into the projects, it's not easy to do things that initially cost money and then generate money again. So, at some point, the idea of making a hat together came about. We've agreed to pre-finance this hat and, like everyone else involved in the project, will forgo any profit. So, first of all, our thanks go to Iris Slappendel from IRIS-I ride in style and Marco from Royal Bike Wear , who both supported us just as much: Iris with the phenomenal design, and Marco with all his logistical work.

The hat will be presented at our booth at Cyclingworld 2025 on Friday evening at 6:00 PM and can then be purchased at our booth or from CYCLE4WATER, in the hat, and of course here. We're completely transparent, meaning all proceeds from the hat, minus the manufacturing costs, go entirely to CYCLE4WATER. And if we wear the hat on our heads, we've paid for it.

This is also a suggestion, by the way: please use the hat as an opportunity to get to know the project. CYCLE4WATER would appreciate support; see if you can organize a ride in your community, post the hat on social media, and make cyclists aware of the project. I'll spare you the platitude that we can all achieve a lot together; too much is going wrong right now. But you mustn't lose hope; you just have to stay positive and look for good things that you can implement or support. So, go ahead and order. We'll be happy if the first edition is gone in no time; then we'll produce another straight away. Perhaps we can make a small contribution to another well.
